Mr. Gilbert Lawrence Tuttle, 87, of Advance, NC, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was born August 4, 1937, in Forsyth County.
Gilbert sold auto parts for many years, then started his own business, Tuttle Auto Parts & Upholstery. He enjoyed his time spent with his family, working in his yard, watching birds, and NASCAR.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his wife Barbara; a son, Tony Tuttle; a grandson, Westley Melton; a sister, Vickie Coleman.
Left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Lynn Rutledge (Lynn); Lisa Williams (Rusty); three grandchildren: Jason Williams (Megan); Brooke Williams and Allison West; five great grandchildren; 3 nieces; and a very special brother-in-law, Mike Coleman.
The family would like to thank the staff of South Fork Assisted Living for taking such good care of him for the past nine months. Also, Trellis for the dedicated care given to him recently.
Memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care at 101 Hospice Lane, WS, NC 27103.
A family service will be held at Crestview Memorial Park at a later date.
