November 27, 1970 – June 6, 2026
Charlene Sharmarro Davis was born November 27th, 1970 at Einstein Medical Center now called Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia hospital. Charlene entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 6, 2026. She went home to be with the Lord at approximately 12:48am. at Baptist hospital after a sudden admission and short stay in the Cardiac Intensive Care unit.
Charlene lived with close friends Clarissa George and Sherri in Clemmons, NC.
Our mom, Charene Davis, was not just mom to us, she was our hero and biggest cheerleader. Growing up my siblings and I watched her conquer one of the most hardest jobs in life which was raising us. She made sure we understood three important things: taking our education seriously, being kind to others, and having a heart for God. Charlene was a very spirited person! She always knew how to make you laugh. She had a smile that was mesmerizing and warm! Whenever you were having a bad day, she was always ready to help. Charlene was strong, brave and seemed to always be ready to take on the world. She made it her business to be a good friend. Charlene’s love for you was unconditional and deep. Her boldness gave us the courage to come out of our shell while growing up. We all gained from watching Mom.
Charlene had a passion for helping people and found herself in both the medical field and education field. She loved being a part of positive change! We loved watching her with her students. She cared for them with a big heart and gentle spirit.
Charlene received her degree as a medical assistant from National Schools of Philadelphia, PA and her degrees in early childhood for special needs and school age children from Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, NC. She was also a HHC aid and had several clients. Charlene worked for Dr. Gold’s office in Philadelphia, PA and Buchanan Head Start in Winston-Salem, NC. She always served!
Charlene was loved by many and will be missed dearly. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her mother Susie Ann Davis, four sisters Darlene, Anniko, Sara and Jackie, three brothers Punchie, Mark and Jimmy, three daughters, Malaree Cooper, Susan Davis, and Sharmarro Davis, eight wonderful grandchildren, Corey, Comary, and Cayden Bailey, Amina Glaspy, Brooklyn Smith, Isaac Davis, and Anna and Jessica Cooper, two son-in-laws Andrew Cooper and McKinley Johnson, cousin Elizabeth, cousins, nieces, nephews, best friend Valda Gibbons Kern and Abraham Harris, and a plethora of friends and acquaintances.
We will be holding a repass in memory of Charlene to celebrate her life on July 25th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. It will be held at 843 Newport Ave Gap, PA 17527.
“Mom, we love you and miss you already! You will always be our sunshine. Rest in peace!”
