Bonnie Marie Martin Godsey, age 84, of Pinnacle, North Carolina, passed away
peacefully in her sleep at her home on September 7, 2026. Born on November 9,
1941, Bonnie devoted 38½ years of dedicated service to R.J. Reynolds Tobacco
Company as an Executive Secretary.
She was known for her exceptional work ethic, generous spirit, and genuine
kindness. Bonnie found great joy in cooking, especially preparing meals and
homemade cakes for family, friends, and coworkers. She never met a stranger
and had a remarkable ability to make everyone she encountered feel welcome.
Her warm smile, vibrant personality, and willingness to help anyone in need left a
lasting impression on all who knew her.
She remained a woman of strong faith and quiet spirituality throughout her life.
One of her greatest companions was her beloved dog, Marty, who brought her
comfort and joy in her later years.
Bonnie is survived by her loving son, Randy Steven Godsey; her sister, Sharon
Prevette; and her brother-in-law, Roy Prevette. She was preceded in death by her
parents, Roland Ray Martin and Myrtle Grubbs Martin Phillips, and by her son,
Bradley Ray Godsey.
Funeral and memorial service arrangements are currently being finalized.
