Candy studied photography at Randolph Community College. She was an avid photographer and especially enjoyed traveling to air shows resulting in an extensive portfolio of land and sky maneuvers of jets and airplanes. For years she carried a camera around her neck for capturing nature and family moments. She enjoyed scrolling the Internet and was keenly interested in the news and unusual stories.

Rescued animals were beloved her entire life.  Candy was ever ready with stories embracing her limitless love of dogs and cats not limited to but including Shasta, Sierra, Kodiak, Sam, Cindy, Magic, Phantom.
